Michigan Research Studio
intensive design curriculum for Detroit public high school students
approach
ArcPrep is a one semester college-level course aimed at increasing access and diversity in architecture, urbanism, and design-related fields. Students meet for three hours per day, five days a week over the course of a semester for high school credit.
role
As one of two lead instructors for the year, I was in the classroom every day and worked with the new program director to shape the curriculum, updating it to include 3D modeling programs and an expanded focus on digital media.
